For the past two months, employees at Sullivan had been volunteering every week at a local homeless shelter. “I can’t express with words how much we appreciate their service,” said Anthony Isham, a staff member at IHS. “We are shorthanded especially during dinner when we serve over two hundred people, including visitors. With the help of the Sullivan employee, we were able to follow through with our job with ease.”

Founded five years ago, Sullivan Inc. has made a hit with the publishing of author Martha Graham’s best seller, Forming a Trinity. In a recent interview, Ms. Graham interviewed, “Other publishing companies rejected my proposals, saying that my work lacks marketability. However, Sullivan has regarded highly of its literary merit. AIEA, HAWAII — Sullivan Inc. is proud to give their support for community service. “I didn’t expect this kind of attention,” said Ms. Taylor, the founder of the company. “I believe that it’s a matter of course for us to give back to our community.”

 

For the past two months, employees at Sullivan had been volunteering every week at a local homeless shelter. “I can’t express with words how much we appreciate their service,” said Anthony Isham, a staff member at IHS. “We are shorthanded especially during dinner when we serve over two hundred people, including visitors. With the help of the Sullivan employee, we were able to follow through with our job with ease.”

 

In addition, Sullivan Inc. is well known for appreciating local authors’ works. Founded five years ago, Sullivan Inc. has made a hit with the publishing of author Martha Graham’s best seller, Forming a Trinity. In a recent interview, Ms. Graham interviewed, “Other publishing companies rejected my proposals, saying that my work lacks marketability. However, Sullivan has regarded highly of its literary merit. Unlike other companies, Sullivan treats a writer as a writer, not as the scapegoat for fulfilling their own desires.”

 

Ms. Taylor has revealed her willingness to participate in any future opportunities for community service along  with her employees.

    Giải đáp thắc mắc ?

    TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) là bài kiểm tra đánh giá khả năng sử dụng tiếng Anh trong môi trường làm việc quốc tế. Bài thi này thường được các công ty, tổ chức, trường đại học sử dụng để tuyển dụng, xét tốt nghiệp hoặc cấp học bổng.

    TOEIC không quá khó nếu bạn luyện tập đúng phương pháp. Khó khăn chính là tốc độ làm bài nhanh và kỹ năng nghe, đọc hiểu trong môi trường tiếng Anh thương mại. Luyện đề đều đặn và ...hi nhớ và vận dụng tốt hơn.

    Bài thi TOEIC truyền thống có 2 phần chính:

    - **Listening (Nghe):** 100 câu – 45 phút
    - **Reading (Đọc hiểu):** 100 câu – 75 phút

    Ngoài ra, TOEIC còn có các bài thi **Speaking** và **Writing** nếu bạn cần chứng minh khả năng giao tiếp.

    TOEIC không quá khó nếu bạn luyện tập đúng phương pháp. Khó khăn chính là tốc độ làm bài nhanh và kỹ năng nghe, đọc hiểu trong môi trường tiếng Anh thương mại. Luyện đề đều đặn và ...hi nhớ và vận dụng tốt hơn.

    Tùy vào trình độ ban đầu. Với người mới bắt đầu, thường mất khoảng 3–6 tháng luyện tập chăm chỉ. Nếu bạn có nền tảng cơ bản, có thể cần 1–2 tháng để đạt được điểm số này.

    Có. Ngữ pháp rất quan trọng trong phần Reading, đặc biệt là Part 5 và 6. Nắm chắc các thì, câu điều kiện, mệnh đề quan hệ, danh – động – tính từ,... sẽ giúp bạn làm bài hiệu quả hơn.

    Luyện nghe mỗi ngày qua podcast, video, phim ảnh tiếng Anh. Làm quen với giọng Anh – Mỹ, giọng Hàn – Mỹ, nói nhanh,... Ngoài ra, luyện đề TOEIC thật cũng rất quan trọng để quen tốc độ và dạng bài.

    Nên học theo chủ đề công việc, ví dụ: tuyển dụng, hội họp, đặt phòng khách sạn, mua hàng,... Học kèm ví dụ và ngữ cảnh sẽ giúp bạn ghi nhớ và vận dụng tốt hơn.

    Có:

    - Không dành quá nhiều thời gian cho 1 câu.
    - Đọc kỹ câu hỏi trước khi nghe (phần Listening).
    - Gạch từ khóa và loại trừ phương án sai nhanh chóng.
    - Quản lý thời gian hợp lý, đặc biệt phần Reading.

    Phần lớn hiện nay là thi trên giấy. Tuy nhiên, một số trung tâm đã triển khai thi trên máy tính (TOEIC Adaptive). Nếu bạn đánh máy tốt thì máy tính sẽ thuận tiện hơn.

    Chứng chỉ TOEIC có thời hạn 2 năm kể từ ngày thi. Sau thời gian này, nếu cần dùng lại, bạn sẽ phải thi lại để có kết quả mới nhất.
