The restaurant, which had been a landmark in downtown Rinderville for two decades, closed its door in November of last year when owner Courtney Ortega retired due to health reasons.

Since Ms. Ortega sold the property to the Doyle’s last December, there had been ongoing talks in city council meetings of rezoning the building and using the premises for retail purposes. But in the end, the council decided to continue using the property for food services, and mayor Garrett Watson said in support of the decision, “It’s very important to have dining establishments in Rindervilles commercial district. He also added that he will be dining at Doyle’s Bistro when it opens this Saturday.

Before coming to Rinderville, the Doyle’s lived in Lyon and Athens, and they were owners of popular restaurants in both cities. They moved to Rinderville last year to be closer to Mrs. Doyle’s family. We think this is such a wonderful city, and we are very much looking forward to serving authentic French cuisine to the people of Rindenille.” said Leroy Doyle.

Dear Ms. Harrington,

We appreciate your interest in the pharmacy supervisor position at Alberto Medical Center. An interview has been set up for you on Thursday, November 20 at 11:00 A.M. Please note that the interview will be held at the Nayle Administration Building, not the hospital itself. When you arrive, be sure to check in at the receptionist’s desk first. Your interview panel will include executive director Colin Pittman and technician Harold Moreno, both of whom are members of the Pharmacy Department at Alberto Medical Center.

Also, as I mentioned during our phone conversation, it may be quite difficult to find a parking spot near the hospital complex. And as our office is not able to provide guest parking, you’ll have to secure street parking if you bring your car to the interview. It would be best to take the subway and get off at Wilson Station, which is only a ten-minute-walk away from the Nayle Administration Building.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me before the interview.

Sincerely,

Dear Ms.

Sincerely,

Franklin Martin

Question 176 – 180 refer to the following article and report.

Business Today                         November

Interview with Adam Klein

The Pasta Factory, an Italian restaurant chain spread across the United States has rapidly grown in its revenue through the incessant efforts of Adam Klein. In his office located on the fifteenth floor of the headquarters for Pasta Factory in Seattle, he shared a bit about what contributed to the success of the Pasta Factory.

Q: What puts the Pasta Factory ahead of all of its competitors?

A: We realized that college students in the US do not have many options for dining. In hopes of supplying them quality, yet affordable meals at all times, we have opened our first branches near college campuses and implemented 24-hour delivery service. This feature has become a symbol of our company, and none of our competitors offers this service.

Q: How do you make sure that the Pasta Factory employees achieve customer service excellence?

A: Before I became an entrepreneur, I had worked as a server, an assistant chef and a restaurant manager. Since I have been in our employees’ shoes before, I have in mind what would enhance their performance at work, which would ultimately lead to making our customers much more satisfied.

Q: What are some of the company’s most memorable events this year?

A: Adding sandwiches to our menu, which has been a big hit, plotting to enter the Italian market, launching our flagship store in Manhattan and installing drive-through sections to our major stores have all contributed in escalating our annual profit. We have actually grown by seven percent, which is far more than what was expected in the beginning of the year. Details of our achievements will be posted on our Web site, www.pastafactory. com, at the end of the fourth quarter.

PASTA FACTORY ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENT OVERVIEW

While the recession has deterred consumers from spending big funds, it affected the fast food industry, including the Pasta Factory, favorably. In fact, this year has been the most profitable for the Pasta Factory so far. Also, the deferment for expansion has not hindered the revenue growth of the company.

Subject: Reschedule

Dear Ms. Martinez,

I received your message from my assistant. I was out of office yesterday for a meeting when you called. About the meeting, I will be available on April 23. I will be in Cleveland from April 17 to April 21 for a business trip and be back as soon as it’s over. Please tell me if this date does not work for you.

What I want to primarily inquire about is the estimated date of completion of the carpet installation. I have already contacted the supplier of the seats, and I was given the date of the delivery and installation, May 6. Since the date has already been fixed, your job must be completed before that in order for the seats to come in. Also, there is something I have forgotten to previously mention. I want you to leave the platform below the movie screen uncarpeted as it will be used as a stage. I believe that there will be a corner of the area occupied with the cinema equipments. Please be cautious not to damage them during the installation process.

So, I would like to know if you can comply with all of my requests above. If you have any questions and would like to reschedule the meeting, please contact my assistant, Joshua Adachi.

Sincerely,

Ted Johnson

Dear Customer Service,

I have received an e-mail last night that the delivery of my order placed on September 2 will be delayed due to a fault on your end. However, in the advertisement, it was clearly stated that all deliveries will be made within two days from the purchase. My event on September 7, in which I will invite a group of apprentice cooks for a lesson, has been scheduled accordingly, but now I will need to postpone it as it takes me two days to prepare. As someone who paid $20 for delivery; I find this occurrence unacceptable. Please respond as soon as possible as I will have to come up with a new date for the event.

Dear Carly,

Your diving trip that was to be led by Alex Everett has been cancelled due to a conflict in his schedule. The event will now take place in February when he comes back, and it will be replaced with a trip to Sand Island. Although our club has never been there together, speaking from my own experience, its level of difficulty and depth is almost identical to that of The Leap. Since I have been there several times, I will be leading this trip. If you are willing to participate in this event, reply to this e-mail with confirmation.

Dear Beloved Members,

The Divers Club in Sydney has been making an effort to provide our members the best diving experience for the past decade while seeking ways to lessen the burden of cost. After discussing ways to do so, our benevolent guides have agreed that they will not receive guide fees of $150 as of next month. We hope that this decision will aid more members when deciding whether to participate or not in the upcoming events.

Our next trip is to The Leap, guided by Alex Everett who recently came back from his diving trip in Central America.

Best regards,

Brandon

Movie Talk on July 28

Movie Talk invites distinguished directors and celebrities every Friday at 4 P.M. on AITV. On this week’s Movie Talk, host Lisa Green invites Bart Smith, a renowned American director, to talk about his movie, Catching Dreams.

An autobiography blended with a fantasy, Catching Dreams vividly illustrates Smith’s imagination as a young, lonely child. Spending most of his childhood with his imaginary friends, Smith, played by Derrick Jones in the movie, develops in his mind a world of his own, which ultimately becomes the world view of his debut film, Another Universe.

Catching Dreams is scheduled to be released in North America on August 8.

For next week, please be at the studio by 1 P.M. for us to get you dressed and prepared for the live show.

Movie Talk Audience Review

By Jamie Chung, August 5

Rating: 9/10

As a movie enthusiast, I have never missed a single episode of Movie Talk since it first aired five years ago. My favorite part of the show is that it always deals with movies before they are released. This helps me in gaining deeper understanding of the works when I actually watch them as I am informed with the messages that the director wants to convey through the film by watching the show, although they are not revealed at times.

I approve of the change that has been made in the program last month. The new host seemed to be quick-witted, mildly humorous and knowledgeable about movies. I look forward to seeing her in the future episodes.

What is indicated about Mr. Jones?
A. He has received an award for acting.
B. He will be interviewed on a show.
C. He will make his debut with Catching Dreams.
D. He will appear on a radio program.
