Patron Comment:  Excellent exhibition overall as always. I visited the Covington History Museum to obtain some reliable information for my graduation thesis. The collections were very well kept and organized. I would love to visit again with my daughter next time. However, since the museum is too large, I had a hard time finding bathrooms and exits. It would be very helpful if there was a mobile application that visitors could download to view the map of the whole museum

JIHU GANG [14:06]

I received the quarterly reports from each of your branches. I must say, I’m not very impressed with some of these numbers.

DINH HOANG [14:07]

I can explain. The minimum wage was raised significantly where my branch is located. The increased cost of operations really cut into the profits.

SUKHON METHAROM [14:07]

We had a serious typhoon that delayed our operations by several weeks. People couldn’t come to work and we couldn’t receive shipments.

KAORI NAKAHARA [14:08]

You saw mine, right? We actually showed a 20% rise in profits.

JIHU GANG [14:09]

Your branch was fine, Kaori. It seems like you were able to handle some of the shipments that were rerouted away from the typhoon that hit Sukhon’s branch. I’m really concerned about your branch though, Dinh.

DINH HOANG [14:10]

It’s not like we have control over government regulations. There’s only so much we can do.

KAORI NAKAHARA [14:11]

I think you just need to focus on efficiency. I can send my floor manager to your branch to make suggestions on improving the facilities.

DINH HOANG [14:12]

I would appreciate that. I’m sure that we can turn a profit again soon once we get used to the new conditions.

SUKHON METHAROM [14:13]

I think we could be more efficient if we were located more inland. Since we’re next to the coast, we’re vulnerable to heavy storms.

JIHU GANG [14:14]

Alright, I’ll keep that in mind. Look into how much that would cost. In the meantime, Kaori, please send someone to help Dinh.

Tunnel Closure to Take Place

by staff writer William Mon

Road repair works on the Tennyson Tunnel will commence on Wednesday, June 12. resurfacing work will be performed for approximately 2 weeks, during which no traffic will be allowed in the tunnel.

“I am happy to hear that renovation works are finally being carried out on the Tennyson Tunnel. The tunnel’s uneven road surface and dim lights have been posing a possible threat to many motorists.” commented Ms. Clara Hong, a local resident. Although the Tennyson Tunnel is one of the city’s most heavily traveled routes, it has been more than a whole decade since the tunnel went through comprehensive maintenance.

Despite this good news, some may be frustrated by the imminent project. The Tennyson Tunnel is the only direct route that connects Bradford with the busy business area in Pittsburg, allowing local motorists to reach there in just 30 minutes. The trip to Pittsburg from Bradford may take as much as two more hours using alternate routes such as the Fleming Tunnel via Jan Joseph Road, according to the Bradford Traffic Authority (BTA).

Further information about the roadwork and detour routes can he found on BTA’s Web site at www.bradfordta.gov.

Subject: About the Tennyson Tunnel Roadwork

Dear employees,

As some of you may have read the article featured in Bradford Herald, Tennyson Tunnel will soon be closed due to the scheduled resurfacing work. According to the article, it may take about two and a half hours to travel via the detour routes, since the tunnel is the only direct route from Bradford to the business district here. And therefore, not only those who reside in Bradford but the other employees will be permitted to work from home during the period of the closure of the tunnel.

Also, we decided to take this opportunity to complete the long-needed building maintenance work. Many employees have complained about the leaking pipes in the 3rd floor bathroom. We will have a group of plumbers investigate and fix the problem before our employees come back to the office.

If you have any questions regarding working remotely or the maintenance work at the Mariam Building, please talk to Kevin Santos at 294-555-1029.

Dear Ms. Millay.

Welcome to Larsson, Inc.! I sincerely apologize for not being able to greet you at the airport myself when you arrived. The workload at the office increased over the past few days and I have been very busy trying to keep up with everything. To make up, I’d like to invite you to a welcome lunch with me at 1:30 P.M. next Thursday. Let me know whether it works or not.

I hope that you are settling down well at your new residence. It was lucky that I saw the featured listing on Ronac Real Estate’s March advertisement. I know that it takes rather long to drive to work, but I chose it because the view from the balcony is great. The yard in the back will also be good for your kids to play in.

When you arrive at work on Monday, Mr. Thomas Lobell will greet you and introduce you to your team. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to e-mail me or contact Mr. Lobell at [email protected].

Dear Ms.

Regards.

Dear Mr. Loeb,

On behalf of the Port Royal Yacht Club, I would like to invite you as the head photographer at our Boathouse Ball on the evening of July 16. I have checked with a reliable source concerning the weather, and that evening should have clear skies and bright stars. If our predictions are correct, the lighting should be perfect for a regular nighttime lens.

As a special guest of our private club for the night, you will also be allowed to bring a photography assistant and up to two other guests. You will all be free to help yourselves to complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres throughout the night.

To compensate you for your work, we are willing to discuss a base billing fee, plus potential for a bonus after the event. Please be sure to bring plenty of business cards as many of our members I would likely be interested in ordering prints of some of the photos you take that night.

Please respond to this invitation within two weeks and let us know the names of the guests you plan to bring along. I need to finalize the attendance list at least two days in advance.

Dear Mr. Loeb,

I’m Bethany Wade. We met when you were shooting the Boathouse Sall at the Port Royal Yacht Club.

I took a look at the digital sets you posted to the club’s Website, and I’m really impressed. I’m in charge of the interior design of our clubhouse, and I think that setting up a display of some of those pictures printed out would be a really nice way for our members to remember that night. Also, we could use some of the photos in our next fundraising auction. I’ve selected a total of ten sets of pictures. That should give enough for decorations, the auction. and a few photos to add to my personal scrapbook. I have already spoken with Ms. Williams, and she has agreed to charge the prints to the clubhouse tab along with the initial fee.

I had a great time meeting you and your assistant, Mr. Jacob, at the event. He seems extremely diligent and talented. It’s unfortunate that your guests were unable to make it. Hopefully our next event will be held at a more convenient time for them.

Sincerely.

November 9 – Stony Brook Theater, a popular place among locals, will reopen next week after renovations. The theater was shut down in June when the local fire department chief found several fire code violations. The owner of the theater, Mark Garrett, did not want to take any risks. He cancelled shows for the remainder of the summer and started a renovation project immediately. In order to bring locals back to the theater, anyone who had tickets for a cancelled show can now receive a 50% discount on the next ticket they purchase. Mr. Garrett is confident that his theater can quickly restore itself as the most popular place for locals to see live performance. “The time off actually gave our actors time to truly perfect their roles. I’m sure that attendance will be higher than ever. Plus, the guests who get a chance to see the improved show in a renovated facility will feel like they got a real steal with the discounted price”.

says: I’m so glad that the Stony Brook Theater is open again! I was so disappointed when they first closed a few months ago. Ever since I retired a few years ago, enjoying shows there is one of my favorite pastimes. Just now I’m getting back home after seeing the return of Russell Russo, Railway Runner. The show was an absolute riot from start to finish! To make things even better, I had a rain check for the show due to the renovation. That really helped make up for not being able to see it previously. I definitely recommend this show to anyone who wants to enjoy a good laugh.
