So the personnel department would like to conduct the interview on the 18th. From: Luke Hampton

Subject: Employee bags/purses

Effective next Monday, employees will no longer be permitted to bring personal bags or purses onto the production floor. All personal bags must be stored in the lockers available in the employee lounge. This new rule is to improve efficiency, reduce distractions, and prevent losses on the production floor. Only items that are needed for emergency medical conditions, such as inhalers, are allowed to be brought onto the production floor.

The manager of the security department has assured me that he will do his best to aid each of you in enforcing this policy. Most of our employees already comply with this, as it had originally been a suggestion. However, anyone who violates this new regulation will receive a warning notice. With the third warning, the company will conclude that he or she is unwilling to comply with this rule and that person will be dismissed.

Please pass this information on to your line employees at the weekly summary meeting at the end of the day on Friday. If there are any complaints, ask the employees to bring them to the HR office outside of their regular production shift times. Thank you for your support.

  1. Met with four separate parts plant representatives so far. —[1]—. Provided specs for parts we need to complete assembly domestically. Received price quotes from each one. Each quote is a separate attached file.
  2. Although their cost for parts alone is a bit more expensive than the other three, Shanghai Metallurgy is willing to offer special deals that would be difficult to find otherwise. —[2]—. Their representative Haoyu Lee invited me to meet a representative of Silk Road Cargo, a shipping company that they have a partnership with. —[3]—.
  3. Tomorrow I will meet with a representative from Moveable Metals. —[4]—. I will listen to their offer, but as of now strongly recommend Shanghai Metallurgy.

I will conclude my business trip here in three days. Mr. Lee is able to meet with me again before that time. If you e-mail a sample contract, I can present it to him for review. Please respond as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Ray Munoz, International Coordinator

Mr. Coolidge,

Thank you for volunteering to take part in our workshop as one of the presenters. As of right now, all of the presenter roles are currently occupied on both days even though you wanted to lead a workshop on the second day of the event. However, we are very impressed with both your academic and business credentials. It is rare to find a business professor who has already had such tremendous success in the business field. If you are interested in speaking at upcoming events that will be held by our organization, first select the event you would like to take part in under the “Details Pending Event List” on our homepage, then select “Apply as Speaker”. Once you fill out that form, we can process the application and list your name as a speaker for the event. We look forward to working with you soon.

For the entire month of October, the farm will feature a pumpkin patch in which people can pick their own pumpkins and then pay for them by the pound, as well as a hayride. Both of those events can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The old barn on his property has been converted into a haunted house, which is only for ages 12 and up. Dear Mr. Poole,

This is a really exciting expo! There are so many models that haven’t gone into mainstream production yet, and also so many more personal vehicles here than I’ve ever seen in previous years. I was hoping to catch the speech, but I got so caught up in showcases of independent engineers that I completely lost track of time and missed it. I did, however, get to enjoy a ride with the famous pro driving champion Danielle Jacobs! Not only that, I managed to get a brief interview with the third place winner of the most recent semi-pro stock car race. Did you know he was born legally blind? Thanks to an operation he had when he was young and special goggles, he was able to become a race car driver! I think that the interview we did would be a great thing to add to our blog. Let me know if you have any special requests for my last day at the event.

Sincerely,

Dear Mr.

Sincerely,

Hi Delilah,

I’ve been looking into which oven would be best for our business and found this great Web site to compare various products in a list: www.List’o’Matic.com. As you can see, it lists some of the benefits of each oven. Our first store location will definitely have more space than the food truck we have been operating out of, but I don’t want to take up all of our kitchen space with an oven. Even though our baked pasta dishes sell well, we need to conserve space for the sandwiches and wraps that first made us famous in this area. Take a look at these reviews, and let’s talk it over tomorrow.

Regards,

Charles Foster, Chef

Pro Bake 2016

Rating: ★★★★★

This industrial-sized oven features two compartments with ten moveable racks each. Each compartment can be set to separate temperatures to facilitate baking foods that require temperature changes. Ideal for baking pies.

Cookie Master 9

Rating: ★★★★★

With advanced oven-cook technology, this massive oven maintains the exact same temperature at all points within it. It is perfect for baking huge batches of cookies. It even comes with separate cooling shelves for goods to cool off.

Bake & Break 4

Rating: ★★★★☆

Three compartments stack so that there is a baking unit at the bottom, a warming unit on top of it, and a cooling unit on top of that. Thanks to that, this model takes up considerably less space than others and facilitates baking pasta dishes.

Dual Bake Silver

Rating: ★★★★☆

This oven has two side-by-side compartments that can be set to separate temperatures. Although it can be used for cookies or pies, this model is normally recommended for pasta dishes.

Derby, KS (December 7)—More and more local restaurants are forming a bridge between mobile and stationary eating establishments. The success of food trucks in major cities in recent years has encouraged some local eateries such as Pie in the Sky, to add delivery service to their menus. Others, such as Crumbling Cookie, have added a truck that drives around the downtown area after peak meal times to sell desserts. Several food truck chefs, however, are interested in setting up permanent locations. Royal Ricotta and Ciabatta Chefs are two such establishments. Many locals look forward to being able to sit down and enjoy the baked pasta dishes that are Royal Ricotta’s claim to fame, while others look forward to taking a popular sandwich to go from Ciabatta Chefs.

To whom may it concern,

I have been an investment banker for over a decade now. When I first started in this line of work, the person who trained me strongly recommended your magazine as a good reference. I have become accustomed to looking through the articles published in your magazine and often rely on them to make business decisions. However, as the Internet has become more widespread, I have found that your monthly magazine has trouble keeping up to date. Although downloading your digital publication is convenient, the problem is that sometimes your information is out of date by the time you release it. My suggestion is that you switch to a more frequent publication. I urge you to strongly consider my suggestion. I enjoy reading the work of your writers and would like to continue my subscription.

In exit surveys, many of them stated that they want to read articles more frequently and that by the time our magazine is released, several of the article topics are already out of date. Since making this change would require altering staffing and schedules, it will probably not be possible until the summer. The tentative expectation is to go weekly as of June.

As for upcoming topics, they have been selected as this holiday season’s biggest surprise successes, international trade trends, and next quarter’s expected buyouts. The writers assigned to each story will be Tony, Loretta, and Frank, respectively. Jacquie will submit her topic when she returns from her special assignment in Hong Kong.

Stock Trends Magazine Company Newsletter – February

In an attempt to keep up with the digital age, we have decided to switch our digital publication to a weekly schedule starting next month. The print publication will continue to go out monthly and contain the same stories. Each staff writer has been sent a revised schedule that must be adhered to. By splitting the stories of each monthly issue, we will be taking some pressure off of the editing staff just before release deadlines. As for the writers, you are still expected to produce approximately five pages, the same amount of material as before.

Sincerely,

Scott Gunther

The first item addressed was the drop in subscribers over the last quarter.

Regards,

Rosemary Everett

PART 1: Directions: For each question in this part, you will hear four statements about a picture in your test book.
